Lyrics

Life used to be a gay matter,
A "filled-with-happiness-dark-and-solar day" thing.
Information technology was something to have and to agree,
Merely it seems that your dear grew common cold.

I never knew that our romance had concluded
Until you poisoned my food
And I thought it was a lark
When yous kicked me in the park,
But now I recall it was rude.

I never knew that you and I were finished
Until that bottle hit my caput.
Though I tried to be aloof
When you pushed me off the roof,
I experience our romance is dead.

It wouldn't accept been so bad if you'd told me,
If you lot'd told me that someone had suddenly taken my identify — Huh!
But, no, yous didn't even scold me:
You just tried to disfigure my face up.

Yous'll never know how this heart of mine is breaking;
It looks so hopeless, but then
Our life could still be sweetness and placid
If you'd merely put down that acrid
And say we're sweethearts once again!

[spoken] Call back that night in Bridgeport,
When the moon shone downwards on both of us
And the breeze sang a love song,
And you looked at me, and I looked at you lot,
And you didn't know what to practise —
So you lot broke my leg?
I thought there was sort of a strange await in your eyes,
But so y'all smiled, and it made everything all right.
Then in that location was that lovely time we went to New England
And you set burn down to my dress.
You said you pushed me overboard to put out the flame,
But I could never quite sympathise why you held my caput under h2o so long.
Of course, I've never met this person who'due south taken my place,
Only I want y'all to know that I wish you lot all the luck in the globe,
And if there's anything I can do — anything at all —
You can achieve me in room Number 304
At the General Hospital.
Farewell, my sweet.

You'll never know how this centre of mine is breaking;
Information technology looks so hopeless, merely then,
Our love is great — no beloved tin can friction match it —
Darling, please put down that hatchet,
And say we're sweethearts once again!

AAAAH!

Life used to be a gay thing,
A "filled-with-happiness-night-and-day" thing.
Information technology was something to have and to concur,
But it seems that your dear grew cold.

And I thought it was a lark
When you kicked me in the park,
Only at present I think it was rude.

Information technology wouldn't have been then bad if you'd told me

Y'all'll never know how my poor centre is breaking;
It looks and so helpless, simply and so
Life used to be so placid —
Won't y'all please put back that acid
And say that we're sweethearts once again?

[spoken] Oh, how well I think
That night in Bridgeport.
That was the night you gave me the hotfoot.
I thought that there was sort of a strange look in your optics,
Just and so you smiled, and, well, it fabricated everything all correct.
Then in that location was the time we went canoeing
And y'all fix fire to my wearing apparel.
You said you pushed me overboard to put out the flame,
Merely I never quite understood why you held me nether h2o so long.
Now, I've never met this daughter who's taking my identify,
But I wish yous all the happiness in the world,
And if at that place's anything I tin can do,
You lot know you can always reach me in room Number 304
In the Full general Hospital.
Farewell, my sugariness.

You'll never know how my poor heart is breaking
It looks so helpless, but then
My honey can go but so far —
Won't y'all please put downwards that crow bar
And say that nosotros're sweethearts again?

I never knew that our romance had ended
Until you lot poisoned my nutrient
And I thought it was a lark
